Completed in conjunction with ecologists

We undertook 700 metres of permanent newt fencing installation for South East Water at Burham, near Maidstone. We have continued to do so for various projects in partnership with Clancy Docwra, as the main contractor, in Kent (Dunkirk) and East Sussex (Harlands Road).

This project involved vegetation clearance, including arboricultural works, formation of hibernacula and the erection of newt or reptile fencing to trap-out ready for construction. It was undertaken in conjunction with ecologists and latterly supported by in-house ecological capability. At times it involved the deconstruction of fencing once projects had been completed with all re-instatement that was required.
