We landscaped the 70-acre Wood Farm extension to Stanmore Country Park, North West London, created during the spring of 2013, with the final planting of landforms completed in the autumn.
Wood Farm was a challenging but unique site, surrounded by woodland, with spectacular views of the capital. We were awarded the contract to transform this inaccessible area of former inert landfill site, farmland and scrub into a haven for the public and wildlife alike.
The transformation included the clearing of vegetation, tree work, fencing, gate installation, seeding of grass and wild flowers, all-weather path installation to enable pedestrian and wheelchair access in to the country park, cattle grid installation, soakaway construction following permeability testing, car park formation, tree and shrub planting, ha-ha construction and the spreading of 3000 t of topsoil prior to seeding.
Throughout the park there were access points that required pedestrian and kissing gates and multiple benches and cycle racks were installed.
