Ecological reporting
Protected species surveys and reports and management plans
RSK Countryside Management provides protected species surveys and reports and management plans to assist with obtaining planning permission, all adhering to UK wildlife legislation. Our reports are thoughtful and pragmatic and follow industry standards (Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM) and Natural England).
Ecological baseline surveys and reports
Preliminary ecological appraisal (PEA), which entails a desk study and extended phase 1 habitat survey. This is required to obtain baseline ecological data for the site.
The PEA will provide the information necessary to determine what specialist protected species surveys (if any) are required.
Specialist protected species surveys and reports
- Reptile

- Breeding bird
- Bat preliminary roost appraisals (PRA) and emergence/re-entry

Ecological impact assessments (EcIA) identify and assess the potential impacts of a development and provides appropriate mitigation as well as recommended enhancements.
Construction environmental management plans (CEMP) provide an assessment of impacts and recommend mitigation for any potential adverse effects a development may have during its construction phase.
